Christmas Shop!!!

December 18th 2010

Helping Families in need for the Holidays

Please join us for the second annual GOP Families Project Christmas Shop! Last years GOP Families Project Christmas Shop was a huge success. We were able to raise $3000 through generous donations, to take 5 families shopping and buy them much needed necessities ranging from toiletries, clothes, shoes, coats, and even a Christmas tree! This year we have decided to raise our goal to raising $5000 and helping 8-10 families.

It is our responsibility, as leaders in our communities to step forward and participate in things that will make an immediate impact for the ones who truly need it.

Whether you are able to donate $5 or $500, any amount can help a struggling family this Christmas season. This is the time to open our hearts and give to families who desperately need assistance.

Checks can be made out to GOP Families Project and sent to 432 N 12th Ave Beech Grove, IN 46107 or brought to the Beech Grove Republican Meeting on December 2nd, 2010. Please contact Ashley Clark (260)-251-3715 with any questions.

Happy Veterans Day!!

We would just like to take a moment to recognize veterans today. Veterans are the reason we live in such a great country. They have put their life on the line for us and allowed some of the freedoms that we live everyday. Our club president and candidate for Beech Grove City Council, Anthony Davidson is a veteran of the US Air Force and just got back from a deployment. Anthony and so many other Beech Grove residents have done the same and today we honor them. Thank you so much for all you do.

See a veteran, shake their hand and thank them.

What a great election!!!!!

We had such a great turn out at the polls Tuesday. Thank you for everyone that came out to support our great candidates. Our poll workers did a great job of getting everyone through the line as quickly as possible. We had some great wins this year. One of which really hit home, Cindy Kirchhofer came out over incumbent Democrat John Barnes. This is a great win for the Republicans, Beech Grove, and the citizens of both Beech Grove and Indiana. It looks like we will pick up majority in the statehouse this year and hold a super majority in the state senate. We will have detailed election results specific to Beech Grove at the meeting on Thursday.

Hope to see you at the Monthly Meeting this Thursday, Nov 4, at 7:00 PM at the Beech Grove Community Center.

Tell us what you think of the election results or the election process went for you??

If this sounds like something you can do, contact Anthony at adavidson2004@aol.com or email the club at beechgroverepublican@gmail.com.

Thanks and see you at the polls on Tuesday,

If you need a yard sign, you can contact me and I will be happy to place one in your yard. We CAN take back district 89 with your help.

Clerk/Treasurer Caucus

Marion County Republican Chairman, Tom John, has called the caucus to replace out going Clerk/Treasurer Sarah Kincaid. Precinct Committeepersons are to gather at 5pm on Monday August 23rd, at Marion County Republican Headquarters. The caucus is to begin at 5:30.

It still seems that only three candidates are in the mix, however, people have until 72 hours before the caucus to officially file to be a candidate. With only 10 PCs, and the caucus not taking place in Beech Grove, things could get interesting.

Sunday, August 8, 2010

Clerk/Treasurer Race

About a month has gone by since Sarah Kincaid announced she would be resigning from her post as Beech Grove Clerk Treasurer. The Marion County Republican Chairman, Tom John, has yet to call a caucus, so it is difficult to put together a time frame on filling the vacancy. Nonetheless three individuals are reportedly reaching out to Precinct Committee persons, expressing interest in the position. Those three being, Chris Duffer, Kevin Roessler, and Mary Carpenter. With three distinctly different candidates and no time table for a caucus it will be interesting to see how this shakes out.

If you hear any more information please let us know!!

The Beech Grove Republicans will not be meeting in August. The next club meeting will be September 2nd @ 7pm. See you there!!
